Innovating the way clothing is built
Starting a clothing line is not easy as anyone who has done so will tell you. It’s an industry when developing new products it’s imperative that all parties talk to each other, the patterns maker, the grading maker and the sample maker, to deliver your idea concept. Why don’t they deliver?
Simplified development process
Well despite many having good intentions, they are only one small part of a long process of developing a collection. Think about any great companies that make products. They have to all work together and constantly solve problems. We realized that many aspiring fashion entrepreneurs like you had amazing ideas but no technical expertise to build products that you envisioned. We created our development program to simplify this process.
First, we collect any reference samples or your drawings that you may have for the development project. Then, we’’ll help you and your brand consultant to set up your targets, material and fit details and we’’ll offer you a price for the project
Starting from a given sketch we can create the basic pattern. Pattern making involves technical expertise, and necessary information such as the type of material used, dimensions, shape line and proportions. The construction of the pattern requires time for elaboration and can be executed manually or digitally depending on the required model. The pattern maker follows the features and lines given by the designer, as well as the dimensions given.
Pattern grading is the process of transforming the basic pattern on different sizes, smaller or larger, using a specification of given sizes or increments. This can be done manually or digitally. Grading is a necessary step before beginning the production process. Gradation will not create shape, but will only increase or decrease the size of the original form.
Creating a fashion line is a dream for many, but a reality for the few, the process can be long and demanding, especially if you have no experience or a helping hand to guide you. From technological packages to achieve patterns, everything you’ve done up to now plays an important role in the result of the step in the development line fashion: making samples.
The first sample is the one that shows the pattern matching with the fabric and the dimensions imagined by the designer. The purpose of this stage is to develop the reference for the construction and accommodation of the body shapes of the final clothing product. The result is a prototype that accurately represents the desired appearance of the desired clothing product.
